Amsterdam, Toulouse, Friedrichshafen, Stevenage - Le satellite Amazonas est arrivé à Baîkonour le 20 juin 2004. Son lancement par une fusée Proton est prévu fin juillet. Conçu et fabriqué par EADS Astrium pour le compte de Hispasat, le satellite Amazonas fournira une gamme de services de télécommunications avec 51 transpondeurs pour le Brésil, l’Amérique du Nord et du Sud et une liaison transatlantique pour l’Europe.

Le Satellite Intelsat 10-02 Prêt au Lancement

Amsterdam, Toulouse, Friedrichshafen, Stevenage - Conçu et fabriqué en Europe par EADS Astrium pour le compte de l’opérateur international Intelsat, le satellite Intelsat 10-02 sera le deuxième modèle d’Eurostar E3000 mis en orbite cette année et également l’un des plus gros satellites de communication jamais construits. Il sera lancé par un lanceur Proton depuis Baikonour le 16 juin à 4h27 (0h27 heure française).

EADS Astrium choisi pour un second satellite Anik par Télésat.

Friedrichshafen/ Stevenage/ Toulouse - EADS Astrium a été sélectionné par Télésat, un des plus grands opérateurs de satellites, pour la construction de son nouveau satellite, Anik F3. C’est le 2ème satellite Eurostar E3000 que nous commande cet opérateur canadien après Anik F1R en janvier 2003. Prévu pour une mise en service en 2006, Anik F3 fournira des services fixes de télécommunications en bandes C, Ku et Ka sur une large zone couvrant l'Amérique du Nord, depuis une position orbitale à 118°7 de longitude Ouest.

Amazonas, Hispasat most powerful satellite, nearly completed by EADS Astrium

Madrid/ Friedrichshafen/ Stevenage/ Toulouse - Astrium has completed the Amazonas satellite manufacturing and assembly and has also successfully completed the Environmental Testing. Final end to end RF testing is on going and will be completed before end May. The satellite will be then shipped around mid June to Baikonour, Kazakhstan, to prepare for the launch which is planned in July on a Proton M Breeze M launch vehicle. With 51 transponders, it will provide a full range of telecommunications services to Brazil, North and South America, and a transatlantic link for Europe.
