Autoclave for production of the new Airbus A350 XWB arrives at Premium AEROTEC’s plant in Nordenham

Nordenham - Premium AEROTEC in Nordenham today took delivery of the 27 meter long autoclave, eight meters high in diameter, for production of the forward fuselage sections for the new Airbus A350 XWB. Once installed in the A350 hall currently under construction, the autoclave’s first cure cycle is planned for the turn of the year. It is expected to be fully available for production from the spring of 2010. Premium AEROTEC is the largest aerostrucures supplier for the new Airbus A350 XWB. The company between 2009 and 2011 is investing some 360 million Euros for the production infrastructures of this new aircraft.

Last Airbus A350 XWB CFRP demonstrator fuselage shell delivered

Le Bourget / Nordenham - Premium AEROTEC delivered the door frame shell for the CFRP fuselage demonstrator from Nordenham to Airbus Operations GmbH in Hamburg for structural testing today on schedule. This marks another major milestone on the way towards serial production for the A350 XWB at Premium AEROTEC. The aerospace supplier, founded in January 2009, is the main aerostructure supplier for this new family of Airbus aircraft.

Better value, faster, lighter: Premium AEROTEC wins JEC Innovation Award 2009

Paris - The recently founded German aerostructures supplier Premium AEROTEC has won the JEC Innovation Award 2009. It is conferred every year at the JEC Composites Show in Paris for the best innovations in composites applications. The distinguished international jury rewarded a new technological process that allows large aircraft components made of carbon-fibre reinforced plastics (CFRP) to be manufactured less expensively, faster and lighter than before. The prize award ceremony took place today in Paris.
