With the UK Technology Masters (EADS TechMasters), EADS supports British students undertaking a one year fulltime Master of Science (MSc) programme in a field of direct relevance to the aerospace or defence industries. Currently six students from two universities - three from Cranfield University and three from the University of Liverpool - are awarded with the EADS TechMasters every year. The awards are endowed with £5000 each.
The EADS UK TechMasters were initiated in 2004. The scheme was launched at the party to celebrate the opening of EADS' London office in May 2004 and was endorsed by the Former British Secretary of State for Defence, Geoff Hoon.
EADS is keen to demonstrate its commitment to the UK. And with the award EADS contributes to the development of UK engineering skills by investing in education and training.
