It has been a long tradition to hold the Pilot’s Ball at the lovely Sobieski Hotel in Warsaw. EADS-PZL added further to the ambiance of the event by placing an Orlik Aircraft at the entrance to the hotel, complete with Flags and Balloons carrying the company’s Logo, it drew considerable interest from everyone, especially with the compliment of some fine Spanish Wine.
The event was attended by dignitaries, important persons and companies including, Head General Rysard Olszewski with other Generals and Officials from the Headquarters of the Polish Air-force. Ministry Representatives, Polish Airports Officials, PZL-Swidnik, Mielec of Kalisz, Polish Airlines LOT, BAE Systems, Lockheed Martin, Patria, and many others.
It was therefore the ideal venue to meet with VIP’s, Directors and Managers from the aviation sector in Poland as well as foreign aviation companies working in Poland, including those having the intention of setting up in Poland.
At the Ball EADS-PZL placed special stickers in front of each place setting with the words, “I love EADS-PZL” The management Board of EADS-PZL were in attendance ensuring everyone had a good time enjoying the event. EADS-PZL provided the Prize of a Video Camcorder for the person voted the best Army Pilot. Before the commencement of the proceedings, a Press Conference was held with Polish TV, which was also a great success.
Once again EADS-PZL can be congratulated for their very fine effort in making the whole event a success, not discounting the huge problem and effort that was required to get a fully operational aircraft from the factory all the way to the hotel and back. EADS-PZL was immensely grateful for all the help provided by the Police and Military Personnel in moving the aircraft through the City, which all agreed was worth the effort. Not forgetting of course apologies for the disruption caused to the traffic affected by this operation in Warsaw.
