general meeting of shareholders

A meeting to which all shareholders of a corporation are invited at least once a year, within six months following the closure of the accounts for the financial year. In particular, the meeting approves the financial statements and elects members of the Supervisory Board. A special meeting may also be called to approve specific decisions (merger, capital increase, etc.).
