EADS N.V. - EADS CASA NA expands its facilities in the USA

EADS CASA NA will build a maintenance and delivery centre of 2500 m2 which will increase its Mobile facilities in the State of Alabama.

The construction will start at the beginning of 2009 and will finalize at the end of this same year. They will be located next to the already existing EADS CASA NA facilities, which occupy 1200 m2 of hangar and offices.

The new facilities, next to the Mobile regional airport, will mean an investment of 5.6 million dollars, and will be a modern customer support, overhaul and modification centre for an important number of EADS CASA aircraft, operated by both, civil and governmental organizations, in North America, such as the US Coast Guard, and Latin America.

The EADS CASA Military Transport family is used for the widest range of missions through the American continent, including humanitarian ones.

The USA Coast Guard will become one of the mayor EADS CASA operators, since the HC-144A Ocean Sentry fleet will reach up to 36 units. Six of these aircraft have already been delivered for the Deepwater Program. EADS CASA NA facilities in the USA provide technical assistance, supply parts, related services, ground equipments and training programmes for Coast Guard personnel, among others.
