ASTER 15 SAAM The current Aster family comprises two missiles originally designed as anti-missile missiles, capable of defeating all air threats. This family is characterised by a common kill vehicle and a booster (15 or 30) depending on the operational requirement. The ASTER 15 SAAM (surface-to-air anti-missile weapon system) is an anti-missile and anti-aircraft missile for warship self-defence and protection of nearby vessels, notably against sea skimming anti-ship missiles. The vertical launch gives 360 deg engagement capability. It is designed to meet the medium-range (30 km) air defence needs of navies, can operate in stand-alone mode, or be networked with the ship's combat system. The ASTER SAAM system comprises: a fire control system based on multifunction electronic scanning radar, with each module of the vertical launchers containing eight ready-to-fire missiles.

ASTER 30 PAAMS The current Aster family comprises two missiles originally designed as anti-missile missiles, capable of defeating all air threats. This family is characterised by a common kill vehicle and a booster (15 or 30) depending on the operational requirement. The ASTER PAAMS (Principal Anti-Air Missile System) is a vertical launch missile system based on ASTER 15 and ASTER 30. This advanced air defence system is able to integrate the following three missions: self-defence, local area defence of nearby vessels, and fleet area defence. It is conceived from the outset as an anti-missile weapon system and integrating the anti-aircraft and anti-missile functions. It is ordered to equip the Royal Navy Type 45 destroyers; the French Horizon frigates; the Italian Orizzonte frigates. The range of the Aster 15 excess 30 km and the range of Aster 30 excess 100 km.

VL MICA The VL MICA SEA is a Vertical Launch point and close area air defence system. It provides an outstanding self-defence capability against all types of air threat including saturating aircraft and anti-ship missiles. It is based on the highly proven performant Mica missile, which is self guided with no dedicated onboard sensors. It can engage simultaneously many targets to a range of interception up to 20 km.
VL SEAWOLF is a naval anti-missile vertical launch missile system. It is accurate enough to intercept 4.5 inch -114 mm shells. It has proved its efficiency against fast sea skimming and high angle supersonic missiles. Vertical Launch SEAWOLF is a fully automatic, fast reaction, high speed, point defence missile system offering an effective counter to multiple missile attack.
SIMBAD is a naval lightweight twin launcher, design for any ship type. Two ready-to-fire Mistral missiles. The missiles have the characteristic of the MISTRAL, the reloading takes less than 1 min / missile. The MISTRAL is a Fire and Forget low altitude air defence missile (anti-aircraft and anti-sea skimming system). It is in service with the French Navy and on board ships of several foreign navies.
TETRAL is a lightweight naval air defence system. It is designed to complement existing air defence of large warships or as the main air self-defence of smaller vessels. The missiles have the characteristic of the MISTRAL-2 and the stabilized launcher includes 4 missiles. The reloading takes less than 1 min / missile. The MISTRAL is a Fire and Forget low altitude air defence missile - anti-aircraft and anti-missiles - , capable of engaging rapidly crossing or manoeuvring targets up to distances of 6.5 km.
The EXOCET AM-39 is the air launched version of the EXOCET anti-ship missiles family. This missile is combat proven. The AM 39 is primarily a sea-skimmer of the fire and forget type. It can be launched from strike aircraft, maritime patrol aircraft or medium-heavy helicopters, air defence throughout their speed and altitude envelopes, at stand-off ranges outside enemy.
MILAS MILAS is an all weather anti-submarine torpedo carrier missile developed in combination with modern detection means such as very low frequency active and passive sonar, which combine long range detection and very high precision. MILAS provides surface ships with a safety area larger than the range of offensive weapons carried by submarines. It provides them with permanent protection against threats from submarines. Range: in excess to 35 km.
Exocet SM-39 - The EXOCET SM-39 is the submarine launched version of the Exocet anti-ship missile family. Launched from torpedo tubes in a self-propelled and guided capsule (VSM) up to the surface, the Exocet SM-39 provides a highly effective destruction capability against surface vessels. It has a wide launching envelope - in terms of the submarine s depth, speed and course and has a discreet exit from water with very low maximum altitude to avoid radar detection.
The EXOCET MM40 BLOCK 2, the 3rd generation of Exocet, is a surface-to-surface anti-ship missile system. The firing capability is over-the-horizon, the range is up to 70 km and the Exocet has a high power of penetration of the enemy defences (low radar signature and late seeker activation).
Exocet MM-40 Block 3 The EXOCET MM40 BLOCK 3 is a naval future generation long range anti-ship missile system. It can be used in open ocean, littoral warfare and coastal land attack The EXOCET MM40 BLOCK 3 has a turbojet propulsion that gives it an increased range to 180 km, has over-the-horizon firing capability, a high power of penetration of the enemy defences - low radar signature and a late seeker activation. It utilises advanced seeker of MM40 Block 2 plus enhanced navigation: GPS and laser gyro.
MARTE is a medium range anti-ship weapon for helicopters and ships. Both the helicopter launched weapon -MARTE MK2/S- and the ship launched weapon -MARTE MK2/N - deploy the same missile. The weapons feature short reaction time, Fire and Forget, inertial navigation, high target selectivity and warhead lethality allowing effective operation in littoral and blue water environments. The range is in excess of 30 km with a powerful mission planning system - way points, terminal sea skimming profile, simultaneous attack from different directions. The MARTE MK2/S has been integrated and qualified on the new EH-101 and the NH-90 helicopters and is in production, the MARTE MK2/N is suitable for a wide range of ships from 30 m to 50 m+ and is available in several launcher configurations: single, flat or stacked twin, quad - with easy upgrades from a smaller to a larger configuration.
Scalp Naval The requirement for a naval cruise missile has led to the development of SCALP NAVAL based on the air-launched variant of the STORM SHADOW / SCALP, which already benefits from the established missile cruise and terminal attack phase. The missile Scalp Naval corresponds to the European Naval Strike Weapon. The naval cruise missile is an essential weapon system for future European surface ships, providing a deep strike capability. It has been designed to maximise its flexibility of engagement and formidable military effect. Its very long range enables SCALP NAVAL to cover an extensive area in the strike theatre. Highly manoeuvrable and at high speed, SCALP NAVAL penetrates adverse enemy defences and locks onto the target. One of its key strengths is its metric accuracy, due to infrared terminal guidance. The compact nature of the SCALP NAVAL vertical launching system allows it to be incorporated in ships with other missions, such as ASW, therefore giving it a multi-mission capability. Apart from the launching phase, which is different for submarines and surface ships, the mission and performance are identical: the missile will be unique, proof of the ability to minimise development costs and logistics.
