EADS as a Modern Employer

Social environment

As we stated before, we do not intend our employees to do nothing but work at EADS. A company, like any part of society, develops its strength by developing the skills of its employees and furthering their personal development.

Personal development has many facets. One of them is the Welcome Event. One of EADS’ priorities is to get its employees together. Twice a year, 400 newcomers are invited to participate in an event hosted by our CEOs, at which they discover the diversity of the world of EADS. From their very first day on board, we hope our employees will understand and fully experience our global dimension, and see this as part of their daily environment.

Many of our employees have a true passion which inspires them in their jobs - their almost indescribable fascination for flying. EADS is an obvious partner in all flight-based activities and naturally offers strong support and sponsorship for aero-clubs at numerous locations.

But all our employees are not flying addicts… this is why we promote and encourage the development of a wide range of sports associations, - sailing, skydiving, soccer, volley-ball or any other sport. These associations have paved the way for informal international team cooperation, offering proof that they are part and parcel of the EADS philosophy.
