The Augsburg site is responsible for the production of complete components and assemblies for civil and military aircraft. From here, the fuselage centre sections of the Eurofighter are delivered to Manching for equipping. In addition, spare parts, jigs and fixtures for aircraft assembly and repair are manufactured in Augsburg. A further task undertaken by this plant is the manufacture of smaller assemblies and tail sections for the Airbus family and components for the A380 and the A400M military transport aircraft.
