EADS PMR Systems have been chosen by industrial sites world wide. A wide variety of industrial and power plants, mining companies and harbors as well as public facilities benefit from their own radio network through the excellent group communications of their own trunked radio system, as well as a state of the art application portfolio and other data services.

Harbours

At the Eurogate Container Terminal EUROKAI , Hamburg harbour, an EADS network covering 1600 miles of waterfront and a 800 000 m² site has been in operation since 1998. Read more.

The Port of Le Havre deployed its own EADS PMR System in 2002 covering an of 60 square kilometers providing enhanced applications to the security services.

Utilities and Power Plants

China Light and Power Company provides energy services in Hong Kong using its own PMR System. Hundreds of personnel use group communication to perform their tasks effectively and communicate with other team members. Owning their own robust radio network with a high level of redundancy ensures uninterrupted communications even in disaster situations.

Helsinki Energy chose the EADS PMR System for its ability to use the communication network for effective business applications, such as telemetry for the company's measuring units. Helsinki Energy offers communication services for Finnish Industry: Large forest industry plants, energy companies, oil companies and water companies are examples of target markets for Helsinki Energy's communication services.

Surface Mining

EADS TETRA System is providing radio communication to the Veladero gold mine in Argentina. The system, used by the Argentinean subsidiary of the international gold company Barrick Gold Corporation, has recently been commissioned. Operating at more than 4,000 meters above sea level, this makes it the world's highest TETRA network.

RWE Power AG, in Germany has been operating an EADS regional TETRAPOL radio network with about 400 subscribers in the Ruhr Basin surface mining, at Garzweiler, since 2001.

Production Plants

Since 1997/98 several car manufacturers have been provided with local PMR radio systems with voice and data communication features to manage and control their production processes. TETRAPOL networks are operated not only in German car production plants like Audi AG, BMW and MAN but also in Nigeria, by Peugeot and in Toulouse/France by Airbus.

In 2005, EADS has rolled out a TETRAPOL radio system for EKO Stahl steelworks in Eisenhuettenstadt, Germany.

Metropolitan Areas

EADS PMR provided a digital TETRA professional mobile radio system for the Communauté Urbaine de Bordeaux - the Bordeaux metropolitan area authority - in France. The network will serve administrators in the city of Bordeaux and its suburbs.

Highway maintenance

In Germany the Maintenance depots of Federal Highways Rhineland-Palatinate started to roll out a digital radio system to cover 850 km of roadways. This system features fleet management on basis of a server Client-Application-Server-Solution
