Air and Naval Defence has distinct Ballistic Missile Defence (BMD) capabilities in C2BMC system architecture design that:

  • Incorporates the latest technologies and operational requirements
  • Integrates the entire flow of data from sensor to interceptor launch and control
  • Provides interoperable multi-link capabilities that connect a wide range of individual platforms and subsystems into an effective networked environment
  • Establishes network centric operations with information and decision superiority and:
    • Provides an experimental environment supporting combined Air Defence and BMD operations that integrate sensor, C2BMC, and interceptor elements
    • Simulates BMD scenarios from threat initiation to engagement operations to verify concept of operations, and validate system capabilities, interoperability, effectiveness, and architectures in a combined/joint environment
  • Validates military operational processes such as operational planning, establishment of joint coordination orders, campaign planning, campaign execution, and combat assessment
  • Incorporates C2BMC products with missile defence capabilities such as classification, discrimination, identification of targets, planning, and execution
  • Incorporates sensor products and technologies that perform missile detection, tracking, and cueing as well as discrimination of warheads from penetration aids.
