Airbus A330-200F

Airbus’ latest addition to its family of freighter aircraft is the A330-200F – a mid-size, long-haul cargo aircraft that benefits from the excellent economics and fly-by-wire technology of the popular A330-200 airliner.

Launched by Airbus in January 2007, the A330-200F has become the new freighter of choice for a growing number of international operators, leasing companies and investment funds.

It is aimed at replacing ageing mid-size long-haul freighters, and also offers opportunities to grow frequencies in under-served markets at no additional cost per tonne. In addition, the A330-200F will provide airlines with a highly efficient solution in replacing services of passenger and cargo “combi” aircraft with a dedicated all-cargo solution.

As the only modern mid-size, long-haul freighter on the market today, the A330-200F is capable of carrying 64 metric tonnes over 4,000 nm/7,400 km, or 69 tonnes to a distance of 3,200 nm/5,930 km.

Flexibility has been further enhanced with the introduction of Airbus’ versatile main-deck cargo loading system, which can accommodate both pallets and containers – enabling operators to serve each of these very different markets.

To date, Airbus has received 72 firm orders from customers worldwide.
