“Fuelly profitable, fully responsible for the environment”, this is the catch-line of the new advertising campaign launched by ATR in May 2005.

ATR has selected two key attributes of its product for this new campaign to demonstrate the advantages that ATR aircraft can bring to its operators.

  • A fuel-efficient technology, bringing significant economic advantages to today’s airlines.
    • On a 300Nm route, the fuel consumption of 70-seat ATR aircraft is 50% lower than a jet with the same capacity.
  • Environmentally friendly qualities.
    • Due to low level of engine emissions, ATR aircraft contributes less to harmful greenhouse effect than most other means of transportation. Furthermore, all ATR models will comply with the future most stringent ICAO-stage IV noise recommendations, effective 1st January 2006.

These advantages are particularly important in the current situation of high crude oil prices and increasing concern about the environment.

Published in the main international aviation magazines, the advertising campaign also conveys the ambition of a leader: to remain the reference in the short-haul transport market. As proof of that, ATR registered a fast growing order book coupled with an increasing number of ATR customers. As of January 2005, ATR has a portfolio of 120 airlines.

Since the beginning of the programme, ATR has sold 719 aircraft (381 ATR 42s and 338 ATR 72s) and delivered 678 aircraft (379 ATR 42s and 299 ATR 72s).

Toulouse, Southern France-based regional aircraft manufacturer Avions de Transport Régional (ATR) is the world leader in the 50 to 70-seat turboprop market. ATR is an equal partnership between Alenia Aeronautica (Finmeccanica group) and EADS. ATR is certified ISO 9001-2000 and EN/AS/JISQ 9100, the worldwide quality standard in the field of aeronautics.
