Eurocopter Vostok and Sky Service launch Maintenance Center in Kazakhstan

On June 20, 2007 at Le Bourget, Eurocopter Vostok and Sky Service signed an Agreement aiming at the creation of a Maintenance Center in Kazakstan to provide services for Eurocopter helicopters in the region.

The Maintenance Center will be launched at the Sky Service facility near Almaty. It will serve all the Eurocopter helicopter models already flying in Kazakhstan.

With a 70% share in the market of western-built helicopters in Kazakhstan, the Eurocopter fleet is growing rapidly in all the traditional segments: corporate, oil and gas and parapublic. The creation of this regional Maintenance Center is a logical step to be as closer as possible to our customers and provides them with best support in their day to day operations”, says Jérôme Noulens, CEO of Eurocopter Vostok.

Up to day more then 10 Eurocopter helicopters are flying in Kazakhstan. During le Bourget additional orders were placed for 2 new AS355 NP helicopters.

About Sky Service

Sky Service is the leading operator of western helicopters in Kazakhstan. Its fleet consists of different models such as EC120, AS350 B3, EC130 and EC135. Sky Service mainly provide with Eurocopter helicopters VIP transportation and tourist flights in the mountains.

About Eurocopter Vostok

Eurocopter Vostok is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Eurocopter that was created in 2006 to provide support to its clients and to maintain already existing Eurocopter helicopter fleet in Russia and CIS.

Currently more then 40 Eurocopter helicopters are operated in Russia. Eurocopter is the leader in CIS, more then 20 helicopters are flying in Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkmenistan.

Eurocoper Vostok continues certification of all product range under Russia’s Interstate Aviation Committee. Up to now the following helicopters are certified: EC120 B, EC130 B4, AS350 B3, EC 145. This year EC135, AS365 N3, EC155 B1 will be certified. Eurocopter Vostok establishes in Russia and CIS network of maintenance centers in cooperation with local partners.
