EADS Barfield names Didier Astic as Vice President of Purchasing

Miami, Florida, 26 July 2006

Miami-based EADS Barfield today announced the appointment of Didier Astic as Vice President of Purchasing. Astic's responsibilities include purchasing, inventory management and OEM contracts.

Astic brings over 15 years of management experience in the aerospace industry, with almost 10 years in the United States. He held several senior level positions in operations, logistics and repair.

Astic started his career with Sextant, France as an avionics computer production engineer. He then moved into various management positions in France and the United States and was most recently Vice President of Operations for Thales Avionics.

Astic holds a Masters in Electronics.
