Wilga 2000 in Canada

Warsaw, 12  December  2003

EADS-PZL continues to establish itself in the US marketplace, with the WILGA 2000 aircraft. After their appointment of its first US Dealer earlier this year South Aircraft LLC in Albuquerque, New Mexico, they have now established their first Canadian Dealer Sealand Aviation Ltd in Vancouver Island, Canada, who is now in possession of their first WILGA 2000 demonstrator with their second aircraft to be delivered in spring 2004.

“We see this as a very exciting opportunity,” comments Bill Alder Managing Director of Sealand Aviation. “EADS-PZL manufactures a range of aircraft including the WILGA 2000 which are practical and have a pricing structure that is invariably less than their nearest competitors. EADS-PZL’s marketing arm has already generated a lot of interest in the WILGA 2000. We’re confident that we can convert that interest into sales.

Bill Alder is particularly optimistic about the WILGA 2000 float application which Sealand Aviation is developing and they will be looking to offer the aircraft on straight and amphibious floats by June 2004.

The WILGA 2000 retails at approximately US$ 185,600 including GARMIN VFR avionics. It is powered by the Lycoming IO-540-K1B5 6-cylinder, fuel injected engine rated at 300hp driving the Hatzell 3-blade constant speed propeller The aircraft is a high wing monoplane tail wheel design of all metal construction with a spacious 4 place cabin. Its robust design makes it suitable for a wide field of operations, including touring, glider, banner and bill board towing, patrol and surveillance when fitted with the TAMAN POP 200 FLIR system and the further application of floats and snow skies.
