EADS TELECOM enhances its expertise in the areas of system security and architecture by consolidating MATRAnet and SYCOMORE

EADS TELECOM consolidates MATRAnet, a publisher of software solutions for IT security, and SYCOMORE, an IT services company specialising in architecture, information system integration and the industrialisation of new technologies

EADS TELECOM, the EADS group’s global Centre of Excellence for telecommunications, is a provider and integrator of secure turnkey telecommunications networks, based on civil technology, for the Defence, Public Safety and Civil markets, with its comprehensive Connexity range of solutions.

Now, thanks to its consolidation of MATRAnet and SYCOMORE, EADS TELECOM has added to its offer in the area of network security and the integration of systems in an IP environment.

Following the consolidation, 159 people from SYCOMORE and 55 people from MATRAnet are joining the EADS TELECOM payroll.

As a result, EADS TELECOM is now the only player on the market offering a comprehensive integrated range of secure communications solutions, from access and network to applications integration and services management.

With MATRAnet, which is the European leader in software-based IP security solutions, EADS TELECOM can now offer a comprehensive range of next-generation security solutions incorporating firewall, secure virtual private network, strong authentication, Web access management and intrusion detection functionalities.

This range makes it possible to build up an environment which is secure from end to end, as regards access management, strong authentication, control of information flow, inspection of content, encryption and administration.

With its 70-strong international network of partners, MATRAnet has a portfolio of over 250 customers, and works with companies of all sizes and in all industrial and service sectors.

As an information system infrastructure specialist, SYCOMORE provides EADS TELECOM with, notably, all of its expertise in the management of large IT projects, system integration and IT infrastructures above the IP layer (system administration, messaging, portals and Web services). SYCOMORE will, of course, continue to offer and develop its expertise in the areas of consultancy, project management assistance (with its project technical assistance unit), information system architecture, industrialisation of new technologies (Middleware, Portal, EAI, etc), security system administration and secure applications.
