Internship / Digital signature tool to load data on aircraft

EADS Airbus (Toulouse) is recruiting an intern for a 6 month internship.

The internship is proposed by the “Sell and Support - Tech Data Solutions” organization within Airbus Information Systems. Within the “Tech Data Solution” unit, we develop applications to support the production process of the Airbus documentation (“maintenance documentation” for aircraft on ground maintenance, “operational documentation” dedicated to pilots and cabin crew for aircraft in flight operations, “spares documentation” for aircraft parts supplying, etc)

The creation of the airbus documentation relies on a complex information system which allows creating the documentary data, publishing and dispatching them to the airlines. The documentation must also be loaded on board the aircraft for digital consultation by pilots and/or cabin crew. The loading process requires a specific signature process in order to warranty integrity of loaded data.

This signature process is today implemented in the current information system; both the architecture solution and the ergonomic level are not satisfying.

The aim of the internship is to study a new architecture and to develop a prototype which will demonstrate the feasibility and which will allow to suggest a new solution to the end users.

The general scope of the internship is:
- Assess different architecture solution and select the most relevant
- Develop the prototype
- Present it to the end users in order to get their validation.

In order to accomplish the prototype, you will have to get familiar with the Airbus documentation production process and with the associated Information System You will be integrated in an Airbus project team and will have the chance to overview the activities to be carried out to succeed in a project implementation.

As deliverables, you will have to write the necessary set of documentation which could be re-used for industrialisation of the solution and will develop and qualify the prototype.

The internship will allow you to understand the complexity of the Airbus Technical Data Information System and to realize a concrete project which could be industrialized if feasibility and ergonomic are proved.
