At this occasion, Christian CORNILLE, CEO of AEROLIA welcomed Patrick Piedrafita, Head of AIRBUS Long range Programmes, who declared: «Our presence today at MEAULTE as an AEROLIA customer shows the consideration in which we hold all the teams of this young company, which, with all its aeronautics experience and know-how, has delivered this first nose fuselage of the new Airbus A330-200 Freighter in accordance with objectives».

The A330-200F is the new Airbus freighter aircraft and is part of the long range family; it is characterised by specific nose section parts, designed by the AEROLIA Design Office at Toulouse and Méaulte and produced by the Saint-Nazaire and Méaulte teams.

With a new definition for the Lower Shell and the fuselage forward section (section 12), the A330-200F is an excellent occasion for AEROLIA to demonstrate is capability to deliver to its Airbus customer a product conforming to the high-level requirements made necessary by the loads linked to the weight of the freight to be carried. This is the case of the fuselage centre section (section 15) and its lower shell, for which the production process on the Méaulte site had to be adapted.

The A330-200F is now part of AEROLIA's work load. AEROLIA produces all Airbus nose fuselage sections and is setting out to conquer the global sales market of aerostructures and nose fuselages.

AEROLIA,

  • French aerostructures leader
