Eurocopter signs contract to retrofit 26 CH53 Bundeswehr helicopters for personnel recovery missions

Le Bourget - On June 18th, Eurocopter Deutschland GmbH and the German Federal Agency for Defense Technology and Procurement (BWB) signed a contract at the Paris Air Show to retrofit one prototype followed by a further 25 of the German Army’s CH53 GS/GE transport helicopters with the capability to perform personnel recovery missions. The contract is worth around 24.9 million euros, with a large part going to the medium-sized German equipment industry. The first retrofitted helicopter is scheduled for delivery in early 2010.

Founded in 1989, NSFC belongs to the Service Flight Corporation (SFC), a long-standing partner of Eurocopter. NSFC is one of the leading businesses in the country providing a wide range of helicopter passenger flights for oil and gas exploration, search and rescue operations, field survey, tourism etc.

RTE contributes to the economic stimulus plan and renews part of its helicopter fleet

Le Bourget - At the centenary celebrations of the Paris International Air Show at Le Bourget, and in the presence of Patrick Devedjian, the Minister responsible for France's Economic Stimulus Plan, Philippe Harache, Senior Executive Vice-President of Eurocopter, and Dominique Maillard, Chairman of the RTE Management Board, the public electricity transmission system operator today signed a contract worth €9m. By signing up to replace part of its fleet from this year, RTE is extending its commitment under the Economic Stimulus Plan. The European helicopter manufacturer Eurocopter, a division of the EADS Group, will supply RTE with a total of four aircraft: three single-engine "Ecureuils" (two B2s and one B3s) and one twin-turbine EC135. These helicopters will all be equipped with Turbomeca (Safran Group) engines.

Eurocopter Signs a Contract for Three Ecureuil B3s with the Indian Operator Pawan Hans

Le Bourget - The European helicopter manufacturer Eurocopter is pleased to announce the signing of a 7 million euro contract for three AS350 B3 Ecureuils with Pawan Hans, India's leading helicopter operator in the civil and parapublic market. Thanks to the versatility of this single-engine helicopter, Pawan Hans will be able to operate it for variety of missions ranging from tourism, medical evacuation to surveillance operations. Pawan Hans currently operates 27 Dauphin helicopters–the largest Dauphin fleet in the world.

Last Airbus A350 XWB CFRP demonstrator fuselage shell delivered

Le Bourget / Nordenham - Premium AEROTEC delivered the door frame shell for the CFRP fuselage demonstrator from Nordenham to Airbus Operations GmbH in Hamburg for structural testing today on schedule. This marks another major milestone on the way towards serial production for the A350 XWB at Premium AEROTEC. The aerospace supplier, founded in January 2009, is the main aerostructure supplier for this new family of Airbus aircraft.

Paris Air Show 2009 - Eurocopter and French airborne systems integrator, ATE, have teamed up to design, develop, manufacture and sustain a modern, Stand-Alone Weapon System (SAWS) for any of Eurocopter’s light and medium helicopter products.
