Following the agreement with SEICA to market its range of board test solutions in the aerospace and defence markets, EADS TEST & SERVICES will be demonstrating the SEICA’s PILOT VIP for the first time at the Aerospace Testing Expo in Hamburg.
The PILOT VIP builds on the successful SEICA family of flying probe test solutions, using four mobile, independent test probes to perform complete in-circuit and functional tests on any type of electronic board without having to build fixtures or mechanical adapters. The capability to access the pins of SMD components directly adds a high level of flexibility guaranteed by the complete modular hardware/software architecture. The PILOT VIP is the alternative to a traditional bed of nails type system and includes a full range of tools to increase test coverage, to shorten the test programme generation time, and guarantees the best solution for the testing of prototypes and small production runs.
The agreement, which also covers the areas of energy and transportation, enhances the existing EADS TEST & SERVICES ATEC and D.A.T.E. functional test systems to provide customers with a comprehensive suite of board test systems for production and service applications.
Headquartered in Italy, SEICA S.p.A. is a global supplier of automatic test equipment with an installed base of more than 700 systems on four different continents. SEICA offers a complete line of test solutions, including: flying probe testers, in-circuit bed of nails testers, functional test systems, bare board testers, used in testing products for the automotive, consumer, and military markets.
