Not only does this 6 seater VIP version of the EC155 B1 embody cutting edge technology but it also boasts the most recent refinements in interior design.
Imaginative design makes it possible to convert the VIP configuration into a passenger-carrying version seating 12.
The EC155 B1 will be operated by the companies Heli Air Monaco and Monacair, which carry out VIP flights and passenger transport from their base at the Monaco heliport.
During the ceremony, Olivier Lambert thanked Prince Albert II and expressed his own pleasure at the selection of the helicopter, which epitomizes the best in VIP transport in its category.
The EC155 B1 integrates the latest technological advances from Eurocopter's recent R & D programs that have decreased the noise and vibration levels and made piloting more comfortable.
The EC155 B1 benefits from a new 5-bladed Spheriflex main rotor with an extremely low vibration level, and a shrouded Fenestron® tail rotor that is a direct result of EUROCOPTER's research on a "low noise helicopter".
The tail rotor has 10 blades irregularly spaced around the hub. These improvements have substantially reduced the external noise, which is now 4.5 dB below the current standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
More than 60 EC155 helicopters have been delivered to 30 customers in 16 countries.
Today EUROCOPTER has established itself as the standard for VIP helicopters: not only for private and corporate customers, but also for close to 40 Heads of State, who have already placed their confidence in the company.
