ATR signs an agreement with INTERTURBINE and cuts down its spare prices

Toulouse, 22  December  2004

ATR (Avions de Transport Régional) and INTERTURBINE Logistik GmbH, based at Kaltenkirchen, Germany, have signed a partnership agreement covering ATR’s hardware spares material distribution throughout the world. INTERTURBINE will provide support to airlines on behalf of ATR for all hardware components such as fasteners, rivets, electrical connectors, switches, as it has been acting since 2001 for ATR on raw material and ingredients.

INTERTURBINE is a major player in the field of hardware and components, and is well appreciated for its high performing supply chain network. Acting as “One Stop Source”, INTERTURBINE organises its support through distribution centres located in USA, UK, France, Germany, China, Singapore and Australia. «We have chosen INTERTURBINE, because we know our customers will undoubtedly benefit from its valuable expertise», declared Jean-Pierre Cousserans, ATR Senior Vice President Customer Services.

Today, the ATR aircraft are operated by 115 airlines and the level of support is more and more demanding. «INTERTURBINE is actively involved with its customers in reducing costs by managing the complete supply chain, and I am committed to provide superior value added service to ATR operators», added Burckhard Schneider, Chief Executive of INTERTURBINE Logistik.

ATR is continuously developing new solutions and products to fit each customer needs and assist airlines in reducing cost of ownership, in particular spares inventories that are required to maintain aircraft dispatch reliability.

Accordingly, ATR has decided to favour the airlines provisioning spare parts on a routine basis (that is deliverable within 30 days), by allowing a price reduction of 3%, applied to the ATR Spares Catalogue in force. This measure applies to any category of spare part available for sale: proprietary items, rotables and vendors breakdown parts … and the orders are eligible to ATR Customers Loyalty Program, “I-CARE”.

Toulouse, Southern France-based regional aircraft manufacturer Avions de Transport Régional (ATR) is the world leader in the 50 to 70-seat turboprop market. ATR is an equal partnership between Alenia Aeronautica (Finmeccanica Group) and EADS (European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company).
