Paris, 05  February  2004

EADS ITS and IBM announce the launch of HR Technologies and Management (HRTM), a new joint venture engaged in human resources services. The combination creates a major player in consulting and outsourcing of HR solutions and processes for major corporations. HRTM will combine the expertise of IBM Business Consulting Services in Business Transformation Outsourcing (BTO)* and of EADS ITS in terms of HR outsourcing services and solutions.

The market for human resources related services amounted to 30 billion dollars worldwide in 2003 with 26% of that coming from the EMEA zone (Europe, Middle East, Africa). This market is expanding rapidly as companies refocus on their core businesses in a very competitive economic environment—resulting in a general trend towards outsourcing. The industry is growing by 15% a year according to studies conducted by Gartner and IDC.

“HRTM has operational expertise in outsourcing HR services that will provide effective solutions for our future customers at the best price, enabling them to concentrate on their core businesses. Business customers will no longer have to invest in their own human resource management systems, thus freeing up resources for allocation to other growth activities”, explained Jacques Massot, Human Resources Manager for EADS France.

“The objective of this alliance is to become a major player in Business Transformation Outsourcing specializing in human resources in France. HRTM launches with already critical size, an extensive customer portfolio and the synergies created from combining the expertise of its people”, states Philippe Le Corre, CEO of HRTM.

Adding, “Moreover, we have numerous points in our favour helping us to achieve our goals. They include a strong growing market, a first level reference, and a flexible, modern and global product range for HR outsourcing services.”

HR Technologies and Management offer

HRTM will provide a full-range of HR outsourcing services comprising:

  • Business Transformation Outsourcing (BTO)*, which is the partial or total outsourcing of HR functions like business portal, payroll, training, time management, insurance and pension plans, recruitment and administration. This offer can also include:
    • Facilities management (hosting, management and operation of the leading Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) applications on the market).
    • Application Management Services (AMS), i.e. applications maintenance and management of changes made to Human Resources Information Systems.
