New commercial policy for customer services

ATR reduces its Spares parts prices by 8% and launches I-CARE

Le Bourget, 16 June 2003

The European consortium ATR (Avions de Transport Régional) today announced its new commercial policy in terms of Customer Services.

In order to provide the ATR operators with the most adapted and efficient support, ATR has developed a new commercial policy on Spare parts and has launched a Customer Loyalty Programme branded as I-CARE.

« Spares availability is paramount to the airlines for on-time and reliable performance » declares Roberto Bellino, Senior Vice President Customer Services, and he adds « By reviewing our purchasing conditions and reducing internal costs, we are now in a position to reduce the 2003 catalogue prices on rotables and breakdown parts by an average of 8%. Furthermore we have significantly expanded our stock range on serviceable units. With an increased offer and off-the-shelf availability, ATR is now very well positioned on the rotable market, mainly driven by second-hand units. »

Besides developing its new Commercial Policy on Spare Parts, ATR has put in place its Customer Loyalty Programme called I-CARE. This project was launched at the 8th ATR operators conference which took place in February 2003.

I-CARE is available to all ATR operators around the world using ATR’s Services in terms of training, maintenance and spare parts. Through I-CARE, ATR wishes to reward its operators for their loyalty.

Above a certain level of business achieved, when an ATR operator uses an ATR service a rewarding percentage is applied and the resulting amount is put at the disposal of the operator.

Roberto Bellino, Senior Vice President Customer Services declares « With I-CARE, ATR wishes to take the partnership with its customers a step further. »

ATR’s Customer Services teams are located at ATR’s headquarters in Toulouse (France) and in ATR’s dedicated offices in Washington DC and in Singapore in order to support its operators 24 hours a day around the world.

To date ATR has delivered 656 ATRs worldwide. The ATR is operated by 113 airlines in 73 countries.

ATR is an equal partnership between EADS (European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company) and FINMECCANICA/ALENIA AERONAUTICA and is the world leader in the 40 to 70 seat turboprop market.
