Socata open a new assembly facility

Tarbes, June 22nd : M. Jean-François Trassard, Socata managing director, has officially opened a new assembly facility at Socata plant.
The increasing demand for Socata aircraft, especially for the freshly introduced GT range but also to the business turboprop TBM 700, resulted in a rise of the production rate and the need for more space for the assembly lines.
The new assembly building, next to the main one will be devoted to TB GT assembly line and will add 20 000 sq ft to the 600 000 sq ft total covered Socata manufacturing facilities.
