The remuneration and nomination committee of the Board of EADS has noted the AFEP-MEDEF recommendations of October 6, 2008 regarding the remuneration of executive directors of listed companies.
The committee considers that these recommendations are in line with the guidelines on Corporate governance of the Group. However, EADS, a company organized under Dutch law, applies the Dutch Code of Corporate Governance and also takes into account other existing recommendations in Europe.
In this context, the Committee has decided to change the remuneration policy of the EADS CEO - the only person affected by the recommendations.
This change of remuneration policy will be proposed by the Board of Directors to be ratified at the next annual general meeting in 2009 and the information will be published in the Board report to be presented at this meeting.
