Eurofighter ferry flight to Neuburg - On 25 July 2006, four single-seater Eurofighter landed at the German Air Force Fighter Wing JG 74 in Neuburg where they will replace the aging fleet of F- 4FPhantom II. The touchdown of the aircraft has marked the beginning of a new era because the JG 74 was the first purely operational unit to be equipped with Eurofighter.
Eurofighter with heavy multi-role stores configuration - As part of flight trials at Military Air Systems in Manching, the IPA 3 (Instrumented Production Aircraft No. 3) Eurofighter carries a comprehensive weapons payload. This consists of the "standard" air-to-air weapons: four AMRAAM medium-range guided missiles and two IRIS-T short-range guided missiles, three additional fuel tanks and four laser-guided Paveway II (air-to-surface precision bombs). In this configuration, the take-off weight of the Eurofighter is almost 24 tons.

Eurofighter Diamond Formation - Eurofighter aircraft from the British squadrons 3, 17, and 29 of the Royal Air Force took to the skies over the Lincolnshire coast to perform a "Diamond Nine" formation. It was the first time that only single-seat aircraft were used in this formation, with the lead aircraft piloted by Group Captain Bob Judson. All three squadrons are based at RAF Coningsby, UK. As one of the four partner nations (Germany, Spain, Great Britain and Italy) in the largest European cooperation programme Great Britain has ordered 232 Eurofighter, plus options for 65 further aircraft.
On 21 March 2007, the first Austrian production Eurofighter AS001 (Austrian single-seater) performed its maiden flight at the Manching site of Military Air Systems (MAS). During the flight, a number of important functions were tested including tests that were conducted at various altitudes and at speeds up to supersonic Mach 1.7.Following the four partner nations in the Eurofighter programme (Germany, Great Britain, Italy and Spain), Austria is the first export customer for the Eurofighter. The Austrian Air Force has ordered a total of 18 aircraft, with final assembly being carried out at the MAS site in Manching.
