A300-600ST "Beluga" - Based on Airbus' reliable twin-engine profit-generator (the A300-600R), the A300-600ST (Super Transporter), nicknamed the "Beluga" is the largest twin-engine cargo carrier in the world. The Beluga was developed to carry a maximum payload of nearly 50 metric tones and is able to carry complete sections of Airbus aircraft, such as the A380 fuselage section with a length of 10m and a height of 7m from different production sites around Europe to the final assembly lines in Toulouse or Hamburg. It is, however, offered on a charter basis to third parties as well. Depending on the payload, it has a range of up to 4,632 km / 2,500 nm.
