EADS CASA CN-235

The CN-235 is a tactical transport aircraft developed by the MTA division of EADS. This family of products is composed of third aircraft: the CN-235 and its maritime patrol version called the CN-235 Persuader and HC-235. The CN-235 is a high wing, pressurised, twin turboprop tactical transport aircraft capable of operating from short, unpaved runways. The CN-235 is in military service in more than 20 countries world-wide and it enjoys an excellent reputation for mission versatility, minimal support requirements, safe and reliable operation in all kinds of environments and low operating costs. It can carry a maximum payload of 6,000 kg and its maximum cruising speed is 246 kt (455 km/h). Series 300 offers improved hot-and-high performance and higher rated pressurisation, which allows cruising at 25,000 ft. (cabin altitude of 7,900 ft.); a twin-wheel nose landing gear is also available as an option.

HC-235 US Coast Guard
The HC-235 is a twin-engine turboprop transport aircraft, with pressurised cabin, capable of operating from short and unpaved runways. It has achieved an excellent reputation for its versatility and reliability in all kinds of operational conditions, as well as its low maintenance costs. More than 250 aircraft have been sold to the armed forces of 23 countries making the HC-235 the world leader in its category. In 2002, EADS was awarded the contract for the Deepwater Program, a major initiative designed to recapitalise the U.S. Coast Guard with the Fully Integrated Tactical System (FITS). It integrates the data coming from a suite of sensors specifically adapted to the maritime patrol mission in aerial platforms. The EADS CASA HC-235 was selected to serve as the medium-range surveillance maritime patrol aircraft platform for the U.S. Coast Guard. The first aircraft was delivered at the end of 2006; the total number of them could reach 36 within the length of the program.

The CN-235 is a tactical transport aircraft developed by the MTA division of EADS. It designates the last generation Maritime Patrol aircraft, developed by the Military Transport Aircraft Division, based on both the CN-235 and the C-295 platforms. PERSUADER offers a cost-effective, sophisticated and versatile solution to the needs of the Maritime Patrol market; it performs any tactical operation, from Maritime Surveillance (picture: SASEMAR - Sociedad Estatal de Salvamento y Seguridad Marítima), Economic Exclusive Zone (EEZ) control, Search and Rescue (SAR), to more complex missions as Antisubmarine Warfare (ASW), Antisurface Warfare (ASuW), Electronic Warfare (EW) or Airborne Early Warning (AEW). The PERSUADER brings together the CN-235/C-295 platforms and the most advanced mission system, developed by EADS CASA.
