Diane Doran – MSc in Aerospace Dynamics

Diane studied in the Aerospace Dynamics Masters programme. In 2005 she attended the University of Manchester where she achieved a First Class degree in Mathematics, won the ‘students deserving recognition’ prize and completed a first class project on ‘Sonoluminescence’ – the research of bubble dynamics, and creation of light from sound by using bubbles.
Born in Bolton, Diane is interested in music and plays various instruments. In addition she enjoys ballet, outdoor activities and avidly reads fact and fiction novels.

Stephen Greenland – MSc in Astronautics and Space Engineering

Stephen studied in the Astronautics and Space Engineering Masters course at Cranfield University. In 2005, he graduated from the University of Manchester with a First Class degree in Avionics and Aerospace Systems Engineering. Furthermore, Stephen was awarded the BAE Systems Harrier Prize for Best Overall Performance in Programme, Best Performance in Final Year in Programme as well as the Terry Hughes Prize for Excellence in Flight Dynamics.
Stephen is from Hertfordshire and is interested in water sports, music and further research and technological developments in Science and Technology. Furthermore, he is a member of the RAeS and the AIAA.

Christopher O’Brien-Organ – MSc in Aerospace Vehicle Design

Christopher studied in the Aerospace Vehicle Design Masters programme, before which he finished his Bachelors degree with First Class Honours at Cranfield University in Aeromechanical Systems Engineering. He has had previous internships at EADS in Munich where he generated an online catalogue for repetitive CAD components and more recently worked in virtual prototyping.
Christopher was born and spent a large part of his life in Germany. When not at University Christopher resides in Berlin, Germany and enjoys aeronautics, computers and sports.

Neilson Bedwell – MSc in Mechanical Systems Engineering

Neilson studied Mechanical Systems Engineering at the University of Liverpool. Previously, he completed his Bachelors with a 2.1 in Physics from Hull University. His final year project was on Photo-resist Exposure using a Blue-Diode Laser. In his aerospace group he took part in upgrading a basic Grob trainer to a combat trainer through the use of FlightLab offline analysis as well as in the flight simulator.
Neilson is originally from North Lincs but resides during the term in Liverpool. His extracurricular interests include music, football and cricket.  

Owen Mills – MSc in Engineering Application of Laser

Owen studied his Masters in Engineering Application of Laser at the University of Liverpool. Previously he graduated with a 2.2 in Mechanical Engineering also from the University of Liverpool. His final year project was to design a Formula SAE chassis.
Owen resides in Liverpool and is an avid sportsman. He has participated in various team and individual activities especially rowing where he became the North of England indoor rowing champion in 2005.

Kwok Wing Ng – MSc in Advanced Engineering Materials

Kwok studied Advanced Engineering Materials at the University of Liverpool. In 2005, Kwok graduated from the University of Salford with a 2.1 in Aeronautical Engineering. His final year project consisted of researching, analyzing and designing a high performance military fighter aircraft.
Kwok is currently taking flying lessons for his private pilot license. He is also bilingual in Chinese and English.
