Joint Procurement

Joint Procurement is the function within Corporate Sourcing in charge of aggregating the demand from all the EADS Business Units for products and services. It is also responsible for the EADS supplier management requirements for suppliers common to two or more Business Units.

The role of the Lead Buyer is a key element of the Joint Procurement concept. Therefore Joint Procurement supports the Lead Buyers and works with them in close contact.

Lead Buyers are buyers nominated by the Procurement Directors Board as EADS-wide responsible persons for a specific market or certain types of commodities.

The Lead Buyer is in charge of providing the best purchasing conditions to all EADS users for the market or commodities under his responsibility, through the negotiation and signature of EADS frame contracts covering the demands of all EADS entities.
