Corporate Sourcing is one of the EADS headquarters functions located in Munich.
Corporate Sourcing assumes the role of a strategic architect, coordinating the sourcing strategy of the individual EADS divisions and units and determining the general terms for relationships with the EADS suppliers.
The sourcing network is led by the Corporate Sourcing function, who proposes projects and general issues concerning suppliers for approval to the Procurement Directors Board (PDB) – the sourcing steering committee – who manages the operative sourcing issues of all EADS Divisions and Business Units sourcing organisations.
The main mission and objectives of the Corporate Sourcing function are:

To ensure the consistency of EADS sourcing strategy as part of the overall EADS strategy.

To make the EADS supplier base actively contribute to overall corporate targets, enhancing shareholder and customer value.

To leverage full EADS purchasing power by aggregation of demand, managing and developing common supplier.

To support purchasing efficiency and transparency by implementing state-of-the-art common tools, methods, processes and sharing best practices.
Organisation
Corporate Sourcing is divided in five different functions:
Strategy
In charge of defining the industrial policy and monitoring the sharing of risk and revenue with suppliers.
Sourcing Management and Processes
Here the main task is to increase efficiency and transparency by EADS common processes, methods and tools.
Joint Procurement
Here the goal is to realise cost opportunities by managing the joint procurement process EADS-wide for common commodities through the Lead Buyers and develop the EADS suppliers.
Offset Management
Supporting the sales department in the fulfillment of the offset commitments and to open up new markets.
Headquarters Procurement & Services
Providing professional procurement services to EADS headquarters.
