François Auque, born on 1 July 1956, is a Member of the EADS Executive Committee and CEO of EADS Astrium.
Prior to assuming this position, from 1999 onwards Auque served as CFO and Group Managing Director of the Space Division of Aerospatiale Matra, one of the three EADS founding companies. He was also a Member of the Management Board.
Auque began his career in 1983 at the French government's audit agency, Cour des Comptes. He went on to work for the U.N.'s Board of Auditors, followed by a position as Vice President of Finance at Banque La Hénin and later Vice President of Finance and International Development at Credisuez, both of the Suez Group.
In 1991, he joined Aerospatiale as Corporate Vice President of Finance and Economics and in 1998 became Corporate Executive Vice President where he was responsible for Finance and Strategy at Aerospatiale.
François Auque graduated from École des Hautes Études Commerciales, Institute d’Études Politiques and École Nationale d’Administration, all in Paris.
