As part of the Centre of Excellence Horizontal Tail Plane in Spain, the Puerto Real site produces horizontal tail plane boxes, elevators, A310 and A330/A340 doors, landing gear doors and leading edges. For the A380, the site manufactures and assembles structural components for the aircraft's rudder system, assembly the aircraft's belly fairing and is responsible for the final assembly and final acceptance of the horizontal tail plane. All these parts are then delivered to the final assembly line in Toulouse, France. New production techniques such as automatic drilling have been introduced at a new manufacturing facility constructed at Puerto Real for the A380.
