Human spaceflight – a solution for Europe?

  • Workshop Astrium
  • Tuesday, May 27th, 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM

Regarding space travel, Europe is about to take some tough and essential decisions for the future. The main satellite-based applications such as science, earth observation and communication have reached a high level and things are looking good that Europe will close the gap between them and the USA on the Navigation sector. Thanks to the help of Ariane 5 and Columbus, we are able to reach the universe autonomously so that we can go on searching. But what`s up next? Due to the European scepticism concerning human spaceflights the next voyage on moon or Mars could be a human spaceflight or a robotic mission. The main question is: “Can a human spaceflight bring advantage for science, politics, economy and the business itself?”
