Reacting to Market Changes:How to Anticipate and Where to Improve

The ability to react to stimuli in the market environment and the speed of this response are major industrial success factors. Several examples throughout the past decades have shown that improving reactivity continues to be a challenge within the aerospace and defence industry.

In this year’s Young Managers Conference the relevance of reactivity in today’s aerospace and defence industry will be discussed. The main objective of the conference will be to raise critical questions about how to improve reactivity while integrating several aspects into the discussion, such as:

  • the role of the customer in the product definition phase
  • programme management
  • concurrent engineering
  • the impact of outsourcing and subcontracting
  • time-to-market
  • product obsolescence
  • benchmarking with other industries
  • financial implications.
