Hi – my name’s Armin. I work at the Eurocopter Business Unit in Donauwörth. I’m in the department for Technical Sales Support and Bids for Civil Helicopters. If customers want to order a new helicopter, I put together the radio and navigation equipment in accordance with their requirements. It all depends on how our company can package it. The work is quite varied. There are often meetings with the EC Teams, discussions with customers about technical details, etc. I also work a lot at my PC, dealing with e-mails or preparing documents. Partly I work alone, for example if I’m preparing presentations for customers. So I do a range of things in my work. Once customers have decided they want one of our products, it’s all about clarifying the technical details. We need to decide what equipment is needed, where the equipment is going to be installed and what functions it will have. The cost of the equipment is also an important factor. Decisions might have to be taken on whether to use a different unit/system, etc.

I studied electrical engineering at Augsburg Technical College and came to Eurocopter on a placement. I also spent my second practical semester at Eurocopter and ended up staying here. Of course, there were other alternatives, but I have to say that this was the best option.
