Within EADS Group, EADS TEST & SERVICES encapsulates the majority of test systems and services related activities over the world, both in the civil and the military fields.
Attached to the Defence & Security Systems Division, EADS TEST & SERVICES relies on five main foreign offices and their associated sales and logistics centres, thus covering the European, Asian and US markets. In the USA, EADS TEST & SERVICES acts in close co-operation with EADS North America Defence Company.
EADS TEST & SERVICES France
EADS TEST & SERVICES France today gathers technically experienced teams whose origin goes back to the 1970s, when first needs emerged from the aircraft industry. Based in two main locations, in Vélizy close to Paris and in Toulouse, EADS TEST & SERVICES France counted 526 people including 226 in Vélizy, 300 in Toulouse in 2005.
Main spheres of the French entity’s activities are dedicated to maintenance testing of commercial avionics (AIRBUS, Boeing) for airline companies, repair shops (MROs) and equipment manufacturers (OEMS), and to the support of military aircraft (RAFALE, Mirage 2000) and terrestrial weapon systems (LECLERC tank, TIGER helicopter,…) for system manufacturers and armed forces, thus offering major products like the ATEC Series 6 and the SESAR 3000.
Beyond these activities, other fields are on progress, in particular production test systems, environment simulators and more recently software for testability analysis (eXpress), as well as information systems for aeronautical maintenance and operations via its French subsidiary named IFR (A.M.A.S.I.S). In co-operation with an Italian company (SEICA), test solutions for production and maintenance board testing (PILOT VIP and ATEC MT testers) are also offered now.
Moreover, EADS TEST & SERVICES France proposes engineering services and, via its French subsidiary named Get Electronique and the PERENEO consortium, it provides life extension services and product end of life services to ensure the durability of complex systems in the aerospace, transport, defence, energy and nuclear fields.
EADS TEST & SERVICES France follows-up of the activities of its French subsidiaries and supervises the Company's business in Spain and in Singapore.
EADS TEST & SERVICES UK
Ferndown
EADS Test & Services (UK) is located on the south coast at Ferndown in Dorset, approximately 90 minutes driving time south west of London. The facility houses a comprehensive Design, Development, Manufacturing and Customer Support capability, together with the supporting Marketing, Sales and Administration functions.
The primary focus is to provide comprehensive test solutions to the Defence, Aerospace and Aviation sectors. This ranges from test and measurement instrumentation, through man-portable, in-field/depot test systems to turn-key systems and integrated deployed support solutions.

EADS TEST ENGINEERING SERVICES is based in Codicote, near Stevenage, approximately 30 minutes driving time north of London. The facility houses Development, Customer Support and Training facilities.
