EADS Military Air Systems provides support for the F-4 Phantom aircraft flown by the German Air Force. This includes depot inspections, service life extension measures and component repair. Additionally, 36 F-4E Phantom aircraft flown by the Hellenic Air Force (HAF) in Greece have been equipped with new instruments. March 2005 saw the delivery of the last Phantoms under the Peace Icarus programme, the aircraft having been re-equipped with complex, improved combat efficiency avionics and new weapon systems.

This programme builds on the experience gained by EADS Military Air Systems in the course of the upgrade programme for 146 German F-4F Phantom IIs, which was completed in 1998.
