An ATEX certified handheld
The Intrinsically-Safe handportable, which conforms to intrinsic security standards CEI and CENELEC, level 2 II G / ib IIC T4, is used for secure digital communications in all types of gaseous environments (petrochemical, iron and steel, fire service, refineries, nuclear, radiological, bacteriological and chemical risks, etc.).
The I-Safe handheld with its robust and compact design operates in the same way as the EADS Easy+ and Smart handportables. Use of the I-Safe handportable is intuitive thanks to user-friendly MMIs (Man Machine Interfaces). It can access numerous voice and data services such as group calls, emergency calls, direct mode calls and short messages (SMS).
The I-Safe handportable has an all-purpose connector for using a special range of accessories adapted to various operational conditions: hand microphone, anti-pop headset, earpiece microphone, SAS functions (man down alarm, guard tour/control), etc. Other accessories common to the EADS handportable range (not ATEX certificated) are also available: battery charger, case, desktop and vehicle adapters, etc.
