Latest Release 5 supports multiple frequencies
EADS TETRA System Release 5 supports multiple frequency bands within the same network. This is a unique capability in the market.
In other TETRA systems, base stations and terminals all have to use the same frequency band within a network. In contrast, EADS TETRA systems with software Release 5 can include base stations that operate on different frequency bands.
An EADS TETRA network can provide service for organisations who need to use different frequencies.

For example, a public safety organisation could use a service inside one region, and commercial users, such as a large industrial site in the same region can join the network.
