Vision Missions Management Technologies Services

The main missions of EADS Global Security are aimed at the following national security challenges:

Border Security

Intensified cross-border flows of people and goods must be controlled and illegal movements prevented, while facilitating lawful travel and trade.

  • Border Security: key component for protecting a country, Border Security covers land or “green” border surveillance and control, as well as checkpoint security.
  • Maritime Security: protection of harbours, coastlines and maritime surveillance in the Economic Exclusion Zone.
  • Identity Management: national registration / enrolment, production / personalisation and identity control solutions

In-Land Security

  • Protection of Population: including Public Safety, Urban Security and Mass Transportation.
  • Major Event Security: crowd management and venue securisation, to protect large events against criminal organizations and terrorist activities.
  • Critical Infrastructure & Site Protection: includes power and water production sites, distribution networks, chemical and industrial plants, oil and gas platforms, data centres, harbours and airports, etc. Missions are to protect critical infrastructure and prevent cybercrime.

National Security & International Cooperation

  • Regional & National Security Centre: national / regional situation awareness, including multi-organisation coordination; national / regional surveillance and intelligence means.
  • Crisis & Emergency Response: to be prepared for the unexpected or the malicious, or a natural catastrophe. Early warning, relevant decision-making and rapid reaction are the key to alleviating the situation.
