ATR will attend Bangalore-based Aero India airshow, 9-13 February 2005. On that occasion, ATR Chief Executive Officer Filippo Bagnato will hold a press conference on Wednesday 9 February 2005 from 2:00pm to 2:30pm, hall II.
An ATR 42-500 aircraft will be displayed on the static in the livery of Air Deccan.
Three Indian airlines are operating a total of 24 ATR aircraft in India: Jet Airways, Alliance Air and Air Deccan.
ATR aircraft are very well adapted for feeder routes in India and can access most of the airports unable to be operated by jets. Furthermore, they have the lowest cost per seat mile of the 50- to 70-seat regional aircraft.
ATR currently holds a market share in India of 60% in the 20 to 90-seat regional market and of the turboprop sector the market share is 73%.
More than 670 ATR aircraft have been delivered in the world to date and 118 operators currently operate ATRs in more than 70 countries.
